Intel CEO Paul Otellini unveiled some interesting tidbits in his keynote address this week at the 2009 Intel Developers Forum. He revealed a next-generation 22nm chip for 2011 and addressed recent developments in the EU antitrust case against Intel, among other things. The thing that caught my attention though was Otellini announcing that Intel is rolling out an app store.
Intel has stated in the past that Larrabee based products are expect at the end of 2009 or early 2010, but if its debut is any indication, it looks like they still have some work to do.

Consumer laptops and desktops could get faster and more power-efficient when Intel releases chips built around its new Nehalem microarchitecture in the second half of 2009.
Where Google Chrome security fails: the password I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
