IE 8: Its Security Is Worth the Download

Internet Explorer 8 has plenty of new security features, such as expanded phishing-site blocking of known malware distributors. IE 8 also highlights the domain name in the URLs you visit, making it easier to recognize a phishing scam.

Internet Explorer 8 Privacy Mode Isn't

Pity those users hoping the new “porn mode” in IE8 will cover the tracks left while looking for the uncovered. Once again, Microsoft overpromises and underdelivers in IE 8 and leaves a security hole.

Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.
