Software as a Service got another boost with a new program from Ingram Micro and Microsoft this week, to extend Microsoft's Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) to all of Ingram's solution providers.
Competing in the Federal playground is a lucrative market, but also one that may be difficult to break into. To address that difficulty, Distributor Ingram Micro has a new program to match up larger systems integrators with small VARs.
Citrix Systems last week made Ingram Micro its exclusive distributor in North America for all software products, and dropped three other distributors (Tech Data, Avnet, and Alternative Technology) from the supply chain. Citrix has 1,900 resellers, and all will have to go through Ingram now.
