August 14, 2010, 1:26 PM — A guy named Paul Truong created this arcade-style space shooting game -- with a Gmail theme! He did it to learn how to create interesting apps with HTML5.

At the beginning of Galactic Inbox, a winged Gmail logo rises out of the 20% time projects bin. (Gmail was created by a developer taking advantage of Google's policy of allowing people to spend 20% of their time on their own projects.) You then use your keyboard to shoot at asteroids, viruses and cans of Spam.
