Here are five things you can do to help protect your privacy from Google's prying eyes.

1. Don't sign in when using Google.

2. Check the Dashboard, Web History and Ad Preferences settings for your Google account, and adjust them appropriately.

3. Use your browser's privacy mode.

4. Use services that provide some degree of anonymity such as Tor.

5. Don't go online at all.
