Our favorite time-lapse videos from last week's blizzard

February 14, 2013, 10:54 AM — When news of last week's big blizzard was brewing, most people went to the store to grab milk, eggs and bread.

Others grabbed their video camera and recorded time-lapse videos of their backyards or other areas to show a speeded up version of snow falling. It's a lot more interesting than watching leaves fall or grass grow. Here's a bunch of our favorites:

First up, my colleague Nick Barber at the IDG News Service posted a camera from the IDG world headquarters in Boston and captured three days of the storm:

The people at NOAA provided a time-lapse view of the storm from the GOES Satellite:

This video, courtesy of Geoff Fox, shows a back deck in Hamden, Conn., which got a LOT of snow during the blizzard:
