Hobbit mash-up, part 2: Minecraft meets Smaug

For those who prefer blocky animation instead of animation via blocks

By

Talk about good timing - no sooner had I written about the cool Lego animation of the teaser trailer for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug", when the Steelehouse Digital YouTube channel uploads a Minecraft-inspired version of the same trailer.

Called "The Pixelation of Smaug", this video does what the other ones have done - taken the original trailer's soundtrack, but replaced the live-action visuals with animations. In this case, from the Minecraft video game.

Kudos to Steelehouse for a cool video and excellent timing!
