Sesame Street parodies Lord of the Rings

Cookie Monster takes on Frodo and Gandalf

By

The folks over at the Sesame Street YouTube channel have been very busy lately, parodying popular culture and geek culture staples such as The Hunger Games, Homeland and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The kids show now tackles its biggest geek epic yet, The Lord of the Rings. Watch as Cookie Monster takes on the role of Frodo (I think) in "Lord of the Crumbs", as he figures out the proper recipe to make cookies, which have been lost to the world for many years.

The Sesame Street YouTube channel is one of the most popular channels on YouTube, and with its mixture of parodies, songs and shorts, not just for kids but for adults who also grew up with the show, it's not hard to see why.

Plus, Cookie Monster rules the InterWeb anyway.
