Google's Year in Review keeps things upbeat (mostly)

New pope, exciting videos and people helping people

By

Last week we saw YouTube publish its list of the Top Videos of 2013, and this week its parent company, Google, joined in the video fun with its own video.

Here's the "Google Zeitgeist: Here's to 2013" video from the Googlers, showing video footage of the things that people were searching on during the year. It's very similar to what people were watching on YouTube, which makes sense since it's basically the same company.

If you are curious about searches beyond the top video, Google has the Top 100 Searches of 2013 as well as a global view that lets you see what search terms specific cities made in 2013 (For Boston, it was Jenny McCarthy for some reason). You can also see lists of the Top trends, people, events and brands.
