At WeCanDo.BIZ we take a different view of business networking to LinkedIn. To us, connecting (again) to your existing Rolodex and then being told not to accept invitations from people you don't know is the wrong way to go about building a business network.
The value on an online network is in connecting with people you DON'T currently know but who have an interest or specific need in what it is you do. To my mind, this is much more likely to lead to business. It's real prospecting made a whole heap easier by the web, rather than just kicking around trying to milk a network you've had forever.
LinkedIn really misses a trick with what it offers. The reason it has so many members is a follow-me attitude that has meant there are perceived to be richer pickings there than on smaller networks. It's a real shame it does little to broker valuable new business relationships.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
