iPod Nano 5th Generation (16GB) Audio Player
The fifth-gen iPod Nano is almost impossibly slim, but somehow the wizards at Apple managed to pack in a video camera. Though you'll find a few other new features in the fifth-generation Nano, the video camera is the marquee addition. Considering how much space your home-video clips might take up, it's unfortunate that Apple didn't boost the Nano's storage capacity this generation.
New iPod nano and iPod touch disassembled
You've seen Apple roll out the new iPod nano and new iPod touch. Heck, you've heard what we have to say on both the new models. But perhaps you're wondering what really makes these suckers tick.
Apple adds video camera to iPod nano
Apple announced a new iPod nano with a built-in camera on Wednesday at the "Rock and Roll" event. Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the device by citing the popularity of pocket flash-based video cameras like those from Flip and Kodak. "This market's really exploding," said Jobs, "and we want to get in on this."
ITunes 8 to Vista: Give me a B, an S, an OD

Revisiting iPod mounting issues
A colleague called this morning to pick my brain about his mother's 2G iPod nano. The gist of that pick was that this particular generation of iPod nano refused to mount on her Mac--every other generation of iPod thrown at the machine worked perfectly well. And that nano mounted on the colleague's computer as it should. He reinstalled iTunes on his monther's computer with no positive results. What to do? My suggestions went like this:

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
