Virtualize your business

Enterprise Social Networking v Unified Communications

I’m waiting for a couple of vendors to get back to me regarding their perspectives on enterprise social networking versus unified communications. I’ve contacted vendors from both sides of this equation so I can provide you with the different perspectives.

I have to concede that enterprise social networking has been around for a very long time. In fact, it has been around so long that it has only recently been identified as social networking. In the not so distant past eSN was called unified communications and collaboration.

This all applied to the SMB two node cluster world. With VMware Virtual Center 2.5.0 Update 3 and the 10/3/08 patches for ESX this is now fixed.
