I'm old, my eyes are bad, my fingers are clumsy (I don't have much feeling in the fingertips of my left hand due to an old injury)... swapping in a new video card and power supply was enough of a challenge for me these days. When I was young and strong I actually built systems for a medical electronics firm (we sold heart monitors and PCs to go with them back when you couldn't assume a doctor's office would have a PC...am I dating myself!!?) so I have the know-how to do it. Or did anyway. I still get freaked out that I won't get the thermal-paste applied correctly. The next time, though, I might buy the components and get a local custom PC shop to build for me. I've heard a lot of places will do that for not a lot of $$ and I'm sure I'd wind up with a much better system.

Sony's Andrew House spilled some more details on the Vita TV and all of them sounded great except the part about "No Vita TV for you!"

Yes, at least for PS1 titles that have been made available in the PSN store. PSP titles often run on the Vita even if they're not 'officially supported' and I assume the same would be true for Vita TV.
Sony's new set-top Vita console is being compared to Apple TV in some venues, but I think those posts are missing the point.3 weeks 4 days ago
