On Tuesday, LaCie finally made the Little Big Disk with Thunderbolt hard drive available to the public through the Apple Retail Store and the Apple Online Store. The LaCie drive was originally announced in February.

If you're planning on getting a new MacBook Pro complete with Thunderbolt technology you'll be pleased to know that you'll only have to wait until summer to get hold of a Thunderbolt-compatible external hard drive.

LaCie on Tuesday announced three new network-attached storage products aimed at small to midsize businesses. All three products feature aluminum enclosures that anyone familiar with LaCie's other offerings should recognize, as well as faster processors than their predecessors, Gigabit Ethernet, and a new widget-based interface. They all will work with OS X 's Time Machine backup capability. They can also be expanded or backed up through included USB 2.0 or eSATA ports. Additionally, the Network 2 line ships with Intego Backup Manager Pro for Mac.
