What possibly could have changed from Thursday to Friday that would account for Time Warner’s reversal? It’s got to be one of three things: 1) The legal teams at Fox Cable, Viacom and Discovery tried the Time Warner app and loved it 2) Time Warner caught too much flak from subscribers and the media for cowering in the face of legal saber-rattling, or 3) the cable giant is now being advised by retired/unretired/retired/unretired ad nauseum NFL quarterback Brett Favre.
Time Warner, history and the momentum of technological change are in your favor. Draw a line in the sand, stick to your guns and dare the broadcast companies to sue. Right now you're looking kind of lame.
