Review: Apple's 15-in. MacBook Pro now faster -- and cheaper

In the past, Apple's M.O. has been to add features, bump up processor speeds, and boost RAM and hard drives in its new hardware -- usually while holding the line on prices. This time it did all those and cut the bottom line.

New MacBook Pro speed tests

Overall, the new 13-, 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros offer a very good speed boost over the respective models they replace--a boost that has more added value when you consider that the new laptops are priced lower than the older models they replace.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
