Martin J. Gomberg is senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer with A&E Television Networks and The History Channel, where he has been since 1996. "AETN is a wonderful and innovative company with tremendous reach and recognition," he says, "a major player in our industry yet a small enough company to allow me to contribute to the decisions that advance our position of leadership."

It has been exactly 20 years since Martin left Ph.D. studies and a career as a Forensic (Crime Scene) Skeletal Identification Specialist to start a new career in computer systems. He has had a varied resume in systems during that time including stints at the Chase Investment Bank and Chase Global Corporate Finance. He has also served as a Financial Industry Specialist Consultant with Novell and then as a "Red to Black Turn Around Specialist" with a small consulting firm.

Marty is a member of the CIO Executive Council.
