December 10, 2010, 4:26 PM — If you're a cell-phone systems engineer with CDMA experience and a jonez for iPhones, these jobs at Apple might be for you.
Fortune is reporting that Apple is looking for cell-system performance engineers with experience in CDMA. iPhones run only on GSM networks such as AT&T, but rumors of a version for Verizon's CDMA network have been thick for almost as long as the iPhone has been around.
Even more interesting is the ad for a Carrier EPM, iOS Software that includes not only CDMA, but Verizon's LTE as well.
Could just be an interoperability/performance optimization thing. Could be something more.
