Allow Myself to Introduce Myself...

October 2, 2008, 07:29 AM —

Hello Everyone.

My name is Brandon Carroll and I am a Cisco Certified Instructor for Ascolta training as well as an Author for Cisco Press. My most recent publication is the CCNA Wireless Official Exam Certification Guide (CCNA IUWNE 640-721). I regularly blog at my personal site found at http://www.globalconfig.net.

Over the years I have spent time in the service provider arena working for GTE and Verizon Communications as well as various Enterprise environments. As a full time instructor I am certified to teach a number of Cisco courses with a focus in Security and Wireless. During the remainder of the month I will be posting about Wireless Certifications. We can talk about the Cisco Wireless Certification specifically or we can branch out. I'm totally fine with that. To get the ball rolling I'd like to throw a poll out there and see what it drums up. Also, feel free to post topics you would like to see covered in the comments section on this post. I'll do my best to get them covered.

Thanks and here is the poll:

Do wireless certifications help the industry? ( surveys)

On a typical day, weather.com, the Web site for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, serves up between 15 million and 20 million page views. But in September 2004, when back-to-back hurricanes ransacked Florida, the peak traffic on one day more than tripled: over 70 million page views by more than 7 million unique visitors. Read the full success story now.
