By , ITworld |  Mobile & Wireless, find my iphone

A lost cell phone can be a huge headache for most people. We rely on our cell phones for so many useful things these days, especially if we own an iPhone. The iPhone is essentially a mini-computer in your pocket, so the idea of losing one can be unbearable.

Here's how you can turn on Find My iPhone to make locating your lost or stolen iPhone much easier and faster.

1. Open Settings.

2. Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3. Tap Add Account.

4. Choose MobileMe and use your regular Apple ID (don't worry if you aren't a MobileMe subscriber) to login.

5. Toggle the Find My iPhone feature on.

You should now be able to remotely wipe, track, lock or display a message on your lost iPhone.
