Have you heard? Windows Phone 7 is doomed. DOOMED I say! I know it's true because some analyst I've never heard of says so. And why is it doomed? Because you can't get Angry Birds Space on it. Except you can, or will be able to at some point.
Let me back up and set the hyperbole aside. This story has been all over the tech blogs. Richard Windsor, an analyst for Nomura, a Japanese finance company, heard that Angry Birds maker Rovio had no plans to port their newest title to Windows Phone 7. From that, Windsor jumped to this quote about Windows Phone 7:
"As the standard version [of Angry Birds] is already number one on the Windows Phone app store, it gives a strong indication that no one else will expect to be making money writing for this platform either."
It seemed like everyone covered this story, some going so far as to spread the doom to Nokia as well, since they've bet so heavily on Windows Phone 7.
And then Reuters posted this story which quotes Rovio CEO Mikael Hed saying that the game is coming to Windows Phone 7.
