April 06, 2012, 2:35 PM — Here's how you can see which apps are using your Android phone's battery power, and how you can shut them down.
1. Open the Settings menu.
2. Go to the Battery section.
3. You'll see a list of running apps organized by how much power they are using.
4. If you see apps or tasks running that you want to close, click on them.
5. On the next screen you'll have the option of using Force Stop to turn them off.
Keeping track of apps and tasks can be a huge help in extending your Android phone's battery life. The longer it lasts, the less you have to keep recharging it.
