Open apps with Siri in iOS 6

How to use Siri to open applications on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

By , ITworld |  Mobile & Wireless, launch apps siri, open apps siri

Here's how you can use Siri to quickly open applications in iOS 6 on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

1. Long press the Home button to activate Siri.

2. When Siri is activated, say something like this:

"Open NAME OF APP"

or

"Launch NAME OF APP"

3. Siri should open your app for you immediately.

4. Try experimenting by saying "open ibooks" to Siri and you'll see how this works.

Opening apps with Siri can be really convenient if you have a lot of app icons or folders to wade through to find the app's icon.
