Japanese develop Pinch interface to simultaneously connect multiple devices

The folks at DigInfo News have another cool video up from Japan, showing off the Pinch interface, which can connect displays of multiple devices simultaneously.

Developed at the Tokyo University of Technology, the interface links up when a user places their thumb and index finger on two adjacent screens and pinches. Watch the video for more details:

The system is currently being shown to developers to create apps with Pinch, so it might be some time before we see a system like this on a commercial smartphone.
