November 02, 2012, 3:42 PM — Here's how you can turn on Airplane Mode on your iOS device to save battery power.
1. Tap on Settings.
2. Toggle Airplane Mode to the On position.
This will turn off all cellular and Wi-Fi data access though, so make sure you turn Airplane Mode off when you want to accept calls or use data.
