November 14, 2012, 1:10 PM — From DigInfo News, we see the updated version of an app that combines augmented reality and a video feet with a mapping app to help people better visualize their walking or driving directions.

AR-Maps, developed by Crossfader, lets you choose between Google Maps or standard maps, and the new version helps reduce battery consumption.
Unfortunately, it looks like this app is only available in Japan, but maybe we'll see this in the U.S. sometime soon.
