March 21, 2013, 4:51 PM — Here's how you can force web links to open in Internet Explorer for Desktop instead of the Internet Explorer app in Microsoft's Surface RT tablet.
1. Search apps to find inetcpl.cpl.
2. Press Enter.
3. Go to Programs.
4. Change "Choose How You Open Links" to the "Always in Internet Explorer on the Desktop."
1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type in the following command then hit Enter.
