Here's how you can use swiping to close Safari web pages in iOS 7.

1. Open the Safari app.

2. Tap the pages button in the bottom right (the square icon).

3. Find the page you want to close.

4. Tap the page and swipe left to close it.

This is much easier than trying to tap on the small "x" in the upper left corner of the page.
