Turn off Background App Refresh to prolong the battery life of your iOS 7 device

Here's how you can prolong the battery life of your iOS 7 device by turning off Background App Refresh.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to General.

3. Go to Background App Refresh.

4. Tap the Background App Refresh toggle to disable it.

5. You also have the option of disabling or enabling it on app by app basis if you prefer.
