Mario as an Indie film

Mario and Luigi get the fake trailer treatment

By

Fake movie trailers are a very good way to produce a viral video - you don't have to create the entire movie, and you have a built-in audience that knows the source material and can appreciate the parody without needing to explain the characters. Just take the characters and provide a twist, and you get lots of views.

Such as in this video, which takes the Mario Bros. video game concept and imagines it as an independent film. I've seen a bunch of Mario parodies using live-action humans (unfortunately, my kids love the live-action Mario TV show from the '80s that streams on Netflix), so trust me when I say this is a good one.
