I was in the shower yesterday and heard a piece on Morning Edition about the use of mesh networks in response to concerns over outside entities monitoring activity. I didn’t catch the entire thing, but it seemed to imply that a mesh network would be a more secure alternative to a traditional network. Does this make any sense?

We have had a couple machines on our network printing to a network computer. �Lately, we have had a problem with files disappearing in the queue and not printing, getting stuck behind phantom previously-attempted documents that suddenly appear in the queue, or partially printing with no error message on either end.

When setting up a home network, how do you determine the best channel setting?

Does anyone know how far the operating range of bluetooth is supposed to be?

I picked up a new Linksys router for my home network that offers the choice of WPA2 Personal or WPA2 Enterprise. I assume Enterprise is more secure, but what’s the difference? Is Enterprise "strong like bull," while Personal is more like, “Please, don’t do get on my network or I will cry?”

I have an issue with a nearly new MacBook Air where it drops its WiFi connection regularly, but still shows good signal strength. I’ve cycled the router, and don’t think that’s the problem since I’ve had other devices connected at the same time the MacBook lost its connection without there being any disruption for them.

What’s the difference between OpenFlow and SDN (Software Defined Networking)? Are they two terms for the same thing?

I been having problems with using youtube lately, everytime I try loading up a video to watch there is a messege saying to install adobe flash player. so, I download the flash player, but it also wants me to install google chrome( which I don't use).
