Favre to remain Packer on Madden NFL 09 cover

August 7, 2008, 04:06 PM —  GamePro —

Despite his quick retirement and return as a New York Jet, MVP quarterback Brett Favre will remain a Packer on the cover of Madden NFL 09, Electronic Arts said on Thursday.

"We do not plan to re-issue packaging but will offer a free downloadable cover in the coming days on easports.com featuring Brett Favre in a Jets uniform," an EA representative told GamePro today. "Fans can print this new cover out and insert it into the case of Madden NFL 09."

After an indecisive five month retirement, not to mention a media fiasco with his former team, the Green Bay Packers, Favre was traded to the New York Jets on Wednesday night.

In April, Electronic Arts announced that the then "retired" Favre would grace the cover of Madden NFL 09 as a Packer.

But while the cover will be outdated upon release, EA promised a launch day roster update, with Favre as the starting quarterback for the Jets.

Madden NFL 09 arrives on all major platforms, excluding PC, on August 12.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
