October 05, 2001, 12:00 AM — If you often modify your computer's hardware, then you may find an
easily accessible shortcut to the Device Manager convenient. For me, a
Device Manager shortcut in the Windows 2000 Start menu fit the bill.
To do this, right-click Start and choose Open. Now right-click in the
Start Menu window and choose New, Shortcut. When the Create Shortcut
wizard opens, enter:
Click Next. In the "type in a name for this shortcut" entry box, type:
Click Finish and you will be able to access your Device Manager simply
by clicking Start, Device Manager.
