December 11, 2008, 9:55 AM — Upon entering the smart-phone race, the BlackBerry Storm has met with a somewhat stormy reception.

PC World's own Yardena Arar was among the first reviewers to pan the Storm, in a controversial critique posted back on November 19. The New York Times's David Pogue subsequently questioned whether a BlackBerry without a real keyboard really qualifies as a BlackBerry. The Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg was lukewarm on the Storm, too, another blow to a device that was supposed to be Verizon's answer to tech's reigning sweetheart, the iPhone.

I'm seriously going to take my BB Storm back to Verizon and tell them to shove it up their a-hole! Furthermore, I am going to reconsider my other wireless accounts and FiOS service for other alternatives. I am extremely displeased with Verizon's bullsh!t and denial there's nothing wrong with this piece of sh!t from RIM. Now that all the focus perhaps aimed at the new Curve, Storm users can be rest assured their POS will remain without apps!!!!!!!!!!!!!Where are the fruckkin apps you idiots at RIM???????????That's for giving the world the biggest white elephant of the year you morons! Make a cr@ppy product and expect us victims of your deceit and false advertising to buy into "there's no problem!" Screw you jerks!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely inexcusable the Storm should lock up the way it does even after the updates!!! RIM get your sh!t together!

I live my new storm. Im 16 years old and all my friends are ditching their iphones for it. Simply put the better camera, removable battery and memory, flash, copy & paste, word excel pwr pt, superior email, and most important better internet connection make this phone the Sugar Daddy of them all. For those of you who disagree how bout testing it not just compairing specks or being bias att coustomers (likely jealous). It wouldnt suprise me if apple has special workers who scowar the web looking to give this thing a bad review. GO BLACKBERRY STORM!

This phone is the best one I have ever had. I switchet from the Iphone to the Blackberry storm because simply the Iphone compared to the Blackberry Storm is F**ki*g ridiculous. Never Amazing 3g reception, super fast accelerometer,by the way the dude that said that you can mute your phone by the touch of the ear has a defromed or hilarious large ear. LOL

this has got to be the slowest phone ever...if you rotate the direction...the screen takes a good 5 seconds to copy...by that time you may have moved back the other direction yet it still changes...have to push answer about 10 times to get a call... even though there is a mute button right at the top of the phone there is an additional one on the screen that seems to be unusually sensitive and mutes your calls mid call by the touch of your earwhat else....basically everything is rediculously slow... i had an 8830 before and loved it...seriously considering switching backall in all...it is a piece of sh*t

You must have ran into the wrong STORM, mine is the "PERFECT STORM".
