Cute accents are all the rage on turn-by-turn GPS systems, which was a good break for Karen Jacobsen, an Australian who was living in New York in 2001 when a company was recording voices for nav systems. Now she's one of the most famous Australians in the world -- if by "famous" you mean "someone whose voice a lot of people have heard" -- and she's looking to move into music and TV. Read more...
