Net neuter-ality

As the government hemmed and hawed over the controversial issue of net neutrality, in waded Google and Verizon, on the one hand claiming to be champions of net neutrality, and on the other hand making big fat turkey-like exceptions for wireless networks and "additional online services." How would those services be defined, and how are they different from what travels over the Internet today? Writes Scott Bradner: "This proposal looks to me like Google and Verizon want to authorize a non-Internet in parallel to the Internet, a non-Internet in name and regulation only, and that is not good for anyone other than the carriers."
