April 16, 2013, 1:00 PM — Next Monday marks the 15th anniversary of Disney's Animal Kingdom Park (it opened on April 22, 1998).

To help mark the day, the Disney Parks blog/YouTube channel has posted this cool time-lapse video marking the construction of the Tree of Life, the centerpiece of the park. Considering the costs of time-lapse video equipment 15 years ago, it's pretty impressive that they did this.
These days, video gear is less expensive and easy enough to do time-lapse videos (I've even captured time-lapse footage on my own using a specific camera built just for that purpose). Note to anyone building anything - capture time-lapse footage - it's always awesome.
