Park rangers create cactus cyborgs

The majestic saguaro cactus is a beautiful and internationally known symbol of Arizona; perhaps that's why thieves were moved to steal 17 of them in 2007.  Now the National Park Service is installing microchips in the giant cacti, in the hopes that they can be tracked if pilfered in the future. read more...
