Some have reasonable explanations, like the fighter pilots who thought they were seeing an experimental aircraft, but really were watching a Russian rocket re-enter the atmosphere. Some are just silly, like the dozens of panicked calls that came in as a result of a blimp bearing a car ad floating over the eastern suburbs of London.
