Japanese train station attendants subjected to computerized smile inspections

Computers can do a lot, but they can't look deep into the mysteries of the human heart and understand genuine joy, right? Well, perhaps not, but they can apparently tell whether your smile is adequately friendly for customer service purposes. Employees of the Keihin Express Railway can use software on an ordinary PC with a camera to quantify how smiley their smiles are.
