Brits send cheese (almost) into space

A group British of cheesemakers rigged up an elaborate helium balloon to send a block of genuine cheddar far into the upper atmosphere, because why not. The vessel's GPS transceiver broke down in mid-flight, but it came to earth and was eventually found by police. Sadly, the cheese-pod's camera also failed, denying all of us gripping footage of what a piece of cheese looks like 18 miles or so away from the Earth's surface.
