Thieves clean out Apple Store in 31 seconds

By Amy Bennett  Add a new comment

The key to a great smash-and-grab job is speed -- and clearly the five- man teamed that broke into a New Jersey Apple store took that credo to heart. Their haul included 23 Macbook Pros, 14 iPhones, and 9 iPod Touches -- $40,000 worth of shiny Apple gewgaws in all -- and they were in and out in just over half a minute. (Now cue the comments on how they could have stolen HP laptops, Pres, and Zunes with similar specs and they would have only been worth $25,000.)
