Man Twitters his way to a new kidney

By

Maybe there's something to this social networking thing after all -- and maybe you really should approve friend requests from people you barely knew in high school.

Having been told that he needed a kidney transplant to survive, Chris Strouth posted a plea for a kidney on his Facebook and Twitter pages; sixteen of his contacts had themselves tested to see if they could donate, and one came up a match, a fellow he hadn't seen in years.

(By the way, the story makes it clear they connected via Twitter, so we're not sure why the headline of the story says "Facebook." THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING, PEOPLE.)
