Netflix no late fee policy not enough for greedy postal worker

People who still get their movies on physical media find Netflix convenient because they can watch movies whenever they like with no late fees. But perhaps none of Netflix's plans could accommodate the needs of Myles Weathers, who reportedly had 3,012 DVDs in his home that he had pilfered from the post office where he worked.

It would have been smarter, just to take ten and then take his time in returning them ... no late fees.

It would have been smarter to not do it at all. Crime is never the smart way out, even if it can be the best option available. Now, if he wanted to commit the crime without being noticed then the best way would have been to just watch the videos and then send them on their way again. And if he just "had" to keep them, then only keep about 5-10% of them, randomly chosen. That way it could have been written off as a high risk area in general, rather than some thieving bastard in particular.
