There is a new Spike Jonez film called Her that is essentially about a man falling in love with a more advanced version of Siri. This led me to think about it on my train ride this morning, which has become like my private Milesian School.

It’s a sad fact that generally, any movie you go see that features your own area of expertise will suffer, because it’s hard to see past the “poetic license” that is used. For example, when I was an undergrad I studied physical anthropology and archaeology, and went to see Congo which had an anthropologist as a character.

I am planning for my annual spring motorcycle trips (wheeeee!), which means I will be doing a lot of camping in the mountains and not have access for an electrical outlet for much of the 14 day trip. Are solar chargers sufficient to keep an Android phone charged on their own?

For me, it's Ouya - I'm interested in in not only from a gamer's perspective, but also as an open source consumer product. Sure, Android is open source, but for the most part it isn't in the living room of the average consumer.

I listen to music a lot at the office and have been using use some cheap ear bud style headphones that I paid $10. I thought that they were good enough....then I tried a co-worker's Sennheisers. Now I can't stop noticing how poor the sound quality is. What are some decent moderate priced headphones?

For those lucky enough to have to go in on Sunday (grrrrrrr), we at least had the consolation of April Fools day this weekend to keep us entertained. Everyone at my office knows that I have a, oh let's just call it a "healthy aversion" to spiders.
