Install Google's Chrome browser in Linux Mint 17

Add the Chrome browser to your Linux Mint 17 computer

Here's how you can install Google's Chrome browser in Linux Mint 17. Chrome can be a useful alternative to the default browser Firefox in Linux Mint 17.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each:

For 32-bit Chrome:

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

sudo gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

For 64-bit Chrome:

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

sudo gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
