Install Conky system monitor in Linux Mint 17

Add the lightweight Conky app to your Linux Mint 17 desktop

Here's how you can install the lightweight Conky system monitor in Linux Mint 17. Conky lets you see information about the CPU, memory, and network right on your desktop via widgets.

1. Open a terminal window.

2. Type in the following commands then hit Enter after each:

sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:teejee2008/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install conky-manager

3. You can open Conky from the applications menu.

4. After launching Conky you can add your preferred widgets to your desktop.
