How long will official support for Windows 7 continue?

I've stuck with Windows 7 instead of "upgrading" to Windows 8. I've seen conflicting information as to when Microsoft will cease Windows 7 support, including one source that says 2015 (which seems awfully soon). When does support officially stop?

We have to take the back off, remove the battery and put everything back probably 3 - 5 times a day. It just locks up and stops. This method always works but is a pain. Phone works great otherwise.
