Verizon Tweets a Tip about Palm Pre

Contrary to a previous report that Verizon had scrapped plans to carry the Palm Pre because of poor sales on Sprint, the carrier announced it will have the WebOS smartphone "early next year."

Palm today re-enabled synchronization through Apple's iTunes for owners of its Pre smartphone, ignoring warnings from a standards group last month.

Palm WebOS 1.2 Available Now

Palm Pre owners should go update their phone, as webOS 1.2 is now available for download. This comes on the heels of a slew of leaks and, of course, an iTunes update that broke the Pre's ability to sync with Apple's software.

Either way you look at it Microsoft Data Center management did not follow standards or best practices in this failure. In which case it makes me wonder more about the outsourcing of corporate data much less personal data.
