David Kernell is facing five years in prison for allegedly hacking into Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's Yahoo e-mail account, but lawyers watching the case say that the felony charge against him is a bit of a stretch.

FBI agents served a search warrant Sunday at the Knoxville, Tenn., apartment of a college student whom Internet sleuths last week had named as the hacker who accessed Gov. Sarah Palin's e-mail account, a local television station reported.

Where Google Chrome security fails: the password
I heard mention that the Chrome OS will have some sort of encryption available a la bitlocker. If it's possible to encrypt personal data using another password or key, then it may have potential for very secure data.... And Ubuntu has an 'encrypt home directory' option, perhaps google should follow suit.
